荒砥　＃220　Rough whetstone PA

GCに次ぐ研磨力があり、刃欠けや肉抜きなどの形づくりが手早くできます。
平滑性はGCよりありますが、消耗は早いのでこまめな面直しは欠かせません。
上級者向けの砥石です。

It has the second highest grinding power after GC, and can be used to quickly shape the blade and adjust thickness.
It is smoother than GC, but wears quickly, so frequent surface adjustment is essential.
This is a whetstone for advanced users.
