【商品説明】
荒砥石と一般的な中砥石の中間を担う、粗めの中砥石です。
荒砥石で刃こぼれや形状を修正した後の深い研ぎ傷をならし、#1000前後の中砥石へつなぐ工程に適しています。また、刃先が厚くなった包丁の厚み調整や、切刃の研ぎ込みなど、ある程度の研磨力が必要な作業にも便利です。
研磨剤には、酸化アルミニウムとジルコニアを使用。荒砥石ほど粗すぎず、一般的な中砥石よりも効率よく鋼材を削れる粒度です。

【ご使用方法・注意事項】
※使用前に、気泡が出なくなるまで水に浸してください。
※使用中に砥石面が凹んだ場合は、適宜面直しを行ってください。
※使用後はよく洗い、直射日光や急激な温度変化を避けて、風通しのよい場所で自然乾燥させてください。
※手作りのセラミック製品のため、製造ロットによる色の違い、硬度のムラ、成形型による傷が残る場合があります。
【Description】
A coarse medium-grit whetstone designed to bridge the gap between a coarse stone and a standard medium stone.
It is suitable for refining the deep scratches left after repairing chips or reshaping a blade with a coarse stone before progressing to a stone around #1000 grit. Its relatively high cutting power also makes it useful for thinning a blade that has become thick behind the edge and for working on wide bevels.
The stone uses aluminum oxide and zirconia abrasives. It removes steel more efficiently than a standard medium-grit stone while leaving a more manageable surface than a coarse whetstone.

【Directions and Care】
※Before use, soak the stone in water until air bubbles stop rising.
※Flatten the stone as needed if its surface becomes dished during use.
※After use, rinse thoroughly and allow it to air-dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and sudden temperature changes.
※As this is a handmade ceramic product, slight differences in color and hardness may occur between production batches, and marks from the forming mold may remain on the surface.
